Maryland offensive lineman Damian Prince, one of the Big Ten Conference’s top pass blockers, is returning for his senior season, he announced Wednesday.

Prince, a redshirt junior right tackle, is the second Terps starter in three days to put off the NFL. On Monday, left tackle Derwin Gray also announced that he would use his final year of eligibility in College Park. With left guard Sean Christie, center Brendan Moore and right guard Terrance Davis all set to return, Maryland could bring back its entire starting offensive line next season.

“I have decided that I will be returning to College Park for one more season,” Prince wrote on Twitter. “I’m excited to have one more year with my teammates and see what this team can do. I expect great things.”

Prince appeared in and started in 11 games in 2017, finishing No. 1 in the Big Ten in pass-blocking efficiency, according to Pro Football Focus. Because of his size (6 feet 3, 315 pounds), Prince projects as a guard at the next level. Before last season, Bleacher Report rated him the No. 2 draft-eligible guard prospect in the country.

The former blue-chip recruit from Bishop McNamara has started since he was a redshirt freshman. Like Gray, he received his undergraduate degree after the fall semester.
