¦ Tigers: RHP Jordan Zimmermann is expected to make his next start after being hit on the jaw by a line drive against the Indians on Wednesday night.

Zimmermann said the swelling in his jaw had gone down and he didn’t have a headache, and he planned on beginning his usual routine between starts. His next scheduled start is Tuesday against the Orioles.

¦ Angels: DH Shohei Ohtani hit a bases-loaded triple in a five-run seventh inning to help the Angels beat the Royals 7-1 for their fifth straight victory. 2B Ian Kinsler homered on his first swing in his return to the Angels lineup, and RHP Nick Tropeano threw shutout ball into the seventh for his first major-league win since 2016.
