“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales”

Action/adventure, PG-13. Capt. Jack Sparrow is threatened by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar, who is leading a band of ghost pirates determined to kill Captain Jack and every other pirate.

“Baywatch”

Comedy, R. This reboot of the ’90s TV series stars Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron as two lifeguards patrolling a California beach. They stumble upon a criminal plot that threatens the bay.

“Wonder Woman”

Action/adventure, PG-13. This big-screen adaptation of the long-running DC Comics series follows legendary superhero Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) from her origins as an Amazon princess.

“Captain Underpants”

Animated, PG. Two fourth-graders (voiced by Kevin Hart and Thomas Middleditch) hypnotize their principal (Ed Helms) and transform him into Captain Underpants, the main character from their homemade comic book. This movie was adapted from the children’s books by Dav Pilkey.

June 9

“The Mummy”

Adventure/horror, PG-13. Tom Cruise reboots the supernatural series. This time, an ancient Egyptian princess comes back from the dead. Russell Crowe, Annabelle Wallis and Sofia Boutella also star.

“Megan Levy”

Drama, PG-13. Kate Mara plays a Marine corporal who forms a special bond with her combat dog. Bradley Whitford, Edie Falco also star.

“It Comes at Night”

Horror, R. A father (Joel Edgerton) must protect his wife and son and deal with an evil element terrorizing his household.
