Kyle Hamilton returned Thursday and appeared to move fluidly through individual drills as a limited participant in the Ravens’ penultimate practice before heading to Pittsburgh.

The All-Pro safety suffered an ankle injury during last Thursday’s narrow win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Coach John Harbaugh said Monday that Hamilton would receive testing. On Wednesday, he said “it’s the same as what we talked about.”

Hamilton would provide a significant boost for a secondary that allowed four touchdown passes in his absence — three of which went to Ja’Marr Chase as the star wideout finished with 11 catches for 264 yards. Hamilton limped off the field late in the second quarter. His status for Sunday’s 1 p.m. divisional showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium has not yet been announced.

As a whole, Baltimore’s secondary ranks last in the NFL in pass defense. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said earlier this week that he doesn’t see any negligence that’s indicative of their statistical standing.

“It’s still the Ravens defense, man,” he said. “I know a lot has been written and said about their pass defense, but to be quite honest with you, when I turn the tape on … I see a group that’s definitively up on people, and a lot of people are getting out of their personalities and are simply somewhat one-dimensional, and throwing the ball 40 and 50 times against them.”

With Hamilton’s return and outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy back in the fold after missing Wednesday’s practice because of illness, the Ravens have a relatively healthy roster for Week 11 standards.

That said, cornerback Arthur Maulet was seen in the locker room Thursday wearing a boot on his left leg. One of the team’s most spirited players, usually wearing a wide smile and offering teammates a sample from his weekly box of candy, sat at his locker covered by a black hoodie mourning another setback.

The 31-year-old veteran and former Steeler had been sidelined since Oct. 2, having tweaked his hamstring. That came after a knee injury sent Maulet to injured reserve to start the season. Maulet, who was listed with a calf injury on the team’s injury report, logged five combined tackles in three games.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson (rest/knee) reappeared on the injury report as a limited participant, which isn’t out of the ordinary for the past few weeks. Defensive tackle Travis Jones (ankle) was also listed as a limited participant.

Tight end Isaiah Likely missed most of last week nursing a hamstring injury. He was a limited participant Wednesday and was fully back at practice Thursday. Defensive end Brent Urban practiced fully after he missed a pair of games recovering from a concussion.

As for Pittsburgh, running back Najee Harris (ankle) and outside linebacker Nick Herbig (hamstring) returned after missing practice Wednesday. Cornerback Donte Jackson (hamstring) and wide receiver Van Jefferson (quadricep) were elevated to limited. Outside linebacker Alex Highsmith (ankle), already ruled out, has not practiced this week.

Reserve cornerback C.J. Henderson (neck) and backup running back Jaylen Warren (back) are two new additions to the Steelers’ injury report. Neither practiced Thursday.
