Lacrosse Players of the Week
RYAN KEENAN, PENN STATE
Smithtown, N.Y., sophomore, attackman
Keenan has been a reserve in nine games for the Nittany Lions (6-3), but he played like a starter in Saturday's 15-10 upset of then-No. 1 Denver. The 5-foot-9, 165-pound attackman had a game-high five points on three goals and two assists to propel Penn State to its first victory against a top-five opponent since Feb. 22, 2014, when that squad, which was ranked No. 12 at the time, upended then-No. 4 Notre Dame, 8-7. Keenan, who has nine goals and five assists, shared Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors with Maryland sophomore midfielder Connor Kelly.
