Alec and Hilaria Baldwin are opening up about the “Rust” trial in their upcoming reality TV series, “The Baldwins.”
In the first look of the TLC show, the couple is visibly emotional as they discuss the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. “A son lost his mom in the most unthinkable tragedy,” Hilaria said in the sneak peek, while Alec covers his face before breaking down in tears. “This is never something to forget, and we are trying to parent through it.
“Honestly, from the bottom of my soul, I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t have you and these kids,” the “30 Rock” alum tells his wife in the trailer.
The couple first announced the series in June, in a video showcasing the couple’s seven children as Alec Baldwin says, “We’re inviting you into our home to experience the ups and downs, the good, the bad, the wild and the crazy.”
In the video, the pair — along with their children Carmen, Rafael, Leonardo, Romeo, Eduardo, María Lucía and Ilaria — are seen introducing the family to the world shouting, “We are the Baldwins!”
It is unclear if Alec’s daughter Ireland, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Kim Basinger, will also appear on the series.
The family will open up about how they coped with the involuntary manslaughter charge brought against the 66-year-old actor stemming from the fatal 2021 incident on the set of “Rust,” on which Baldwin was both an actor and producer. A prop gun Baldwin was holding discharged a live round during a rehearsal, killing cinematographer Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza.
Since filming wrapped, the charges against the actor were dismissed amid prosecutors knowingly withholding crucial evidence. Recently, prosecutors declined to appeal the decision, officially ending the case.
Hilaria concludes the reality show’s sneak peek saying that, despite the tragic events of the past few years, her family is “solid, and we’re here together.”
“The Baldwins” premieres Feb. 23 on TLC.
‘Yellowstone’ spinoff ‘The Madison’ wraps filming: Taylor Sheridan’s “Yellowstone” spinoff “The Madison” wrapped filming in North Texas recently.
“The Madison” has been described as a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.” While unclear how it connects to “Yellowstone,” “The Madison” will star Michelle Pfeiffer, Patrick J. Adams and Matthew Fox.
The show began production in Montana in late August and moved south to Texas later that fall. After filming scenes in Fort Worth and Dallas, “The Madison” wrapped production in North Texas in mid-December.
Several cast members took to social media to share the news, including Adams, who posted a few photos of the cast celebrating at Arlington’s Six Flags Over Texas amusement park.
“Proud of my family and fellow cast and crew of ‘The Madison’ for leaving no stone unturned, no loop unlooped, no funnel cake undevoured,” Adams wrote. “We came to win and win we did.”
No release date has been announced for “The Madison,” but it will likely air sometime this year.
