Injuries mar Thunder’s blowout win
Russell Westbrook recorded his first triple-double of the season as the Thunder routed the Warriors 123-95 on Wednesday night in Oakland, Calif.
But it wasn’t all good news for the Thunder. Rookie Hamidou Diallo was carted off on a stretcher with 7:17 left with what at the time appeared to be a serious injury to his left leg. X-rays were negative, and the team said Thursday that Diallo suffered a sprained ankle and he will be re-evaluated in seven to 10 days.
The Thunder also lost Terrance Ferguson, who sprained his left ankle. Nerlens Noel received stitches after getting hit in the face.
Westbrook began 1-for-6, then hit his stride, finishing with 11 points, 13 assists, 11 rebounds. It was his second game back since missing five with a sprained left ankle, then another when he welcomed twin daughters Saturday night.
Paul George had 25 points, nine rebounds and five assists as the Thunder sent the Warriors to their first four-game skid in nearly six years.
