What is the single best thing Donald Trump has done in his first 100 days in office, and the single worst, and why?

The best thing President Trump did was to demand respect for hard-working, middle-class Americans and promise them a better future. The worst thing President Trump did, and continues to do, is betray that promise. With the stock market at all-time highs, Mr. Trump and his Billionaire Brigade continue to enrich the richest 5 percent and ignore the struggling middle class. He has flip-flopped, accelerating policies that steal from the middle class and give to the rich. He eliminates policies that help protect middle class Americans from sinking into poverty. His betrayal hurts us all.

The best thing that President Trump has done is to make civics relevant again. Prior to his assuming the Oval Office, who knew that the U.S. Constitution includes an “emolument clause”? The worst? This is tough. So many to choose from, but my personal favorite is his one page “tax reform” manifesto that mostly benefits the very wealthy.

The best thing President Trump has done in his first 100 days is play an excessive amount of golf. The more golf he plays the less time he has to spend on his mission of giving away the country to his rich friends. The worst thing he does is select people for important positions that are immensely unqualified and usually have nothing more on their minds than destruction of their agencies and/or existing laws/policies.

The best thing about the first 100 days of the Trump administration is that Americans should now be convinced that they can become president even if they have small hands, anger-management issues, difficulty with impulse control, and are: socially inept, a trust fund baby, xenophobic, racist, self-dealing, ignorant, nepotistic, pompous, emolument clause abusing, paranoid, misogynistic, anti-Semitic, anti-Muslim, narcissistic, science-denying, myopic, superficial, morally corrupt, solipsistic, vainglorious, fantasy plagued, megalomaniacal, grandiose, satyriasis-suffering, delusional, a whiffle-waffler and glib!

For the worst aspects of the first 100 days, see above!

Folding his cards on the first attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act (“It’s enough already”) in late March was the best thing President Trump has done. It’s a 20-horse dead heat for his worst — the Muslim ban, multiple actions to destroy the environment, a self-enriching tax plan, budget proposals to cut the arts, incessant lies, the war on the press, science denial and so much more. To choose one, I’d say his Cabinet appointments, because of the potential for long-term damage to education, civil rights, health care and the very air we breathe — unless his foreign policy cluelessness kills us all first.
