LeBron James drafted the Pelicans star Anthony Davis when he and fellow captain Giannis Antetokounmpo chose their teams for the Feb. 17 All-Star Game in Charlotte, N.C.

James chose Kevin Durant with the No. 1 overall pick. They’ll be joined in the Team LeBron starting five by Kyrie Irving, Kawhi Leonard and James Harden. The reserves are: Davis, Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard, Russell Westbrook, LaMarcus Aldridge, Karl-Anthony Towns, Bradley Beal, Ben Simmons and Dwyane Wade.

Team Giannis, in addition to Antetokounmpo, will start Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, Paul George and hometown favorite Kemba Walker. The reserves are: Khris Middleton, Nikola Jokic, Russell Westbrook, Blake Griffin, D’Angelo Russell, Nikola Vucevic, Kyle Lowry and Dirk Nowitzki.

The Pelicans told ESPN that Davis will be back into the lineup for the rest of the season. Davis, who had requested a trade, has missed the last nine games with a finger injury, but he was cleared to practice earlier this week. ...
