Baltimore-area parents have known The Shops at Kenilworth as a place to buy kids new shoes, treat them to pizza and explore an annual holiday train garden.
On Thursday, the Towson mall announced its latest kid-friendly offering, an “elevated” social club for children.
The Bunny Hive, a franchisor of studios with classes and events for children as young as newborn, will open this fall on the mall’s lower level between Liza Byrd Boutique and Italian Gardens, mall owner Greenberg Gibbons said.
It will fill a vacancy left by longtime tenant Towson Bootery. The well-known shoe store closed in March after 77 years in business, first on York Road in Towson before moving to Kenilworth in 1996.
Bunny Hive touts itself as a “boutique social club” offering classes and events for infants and toddlers on up, with their parents, in areas such as art, music, massage, ballet and play-based culinary exploration.
Chelsea Rallo, owner of The Bunny Hive Baltimore, said the studio is designed to support and connect families.
“As a parent, I often find myself wishing something like this had existed when I was a new mom,” Rallo said in an announcement.
Bunny Hive joins mall tenants such as Trader Joe’s, Arhaus, About Faces Day Spa & Salon and South Moon Under.
