Kings snap Flyers’ 8-game win streak
Tyler Toffoli scored the clinching goal in a shootout to lead the Kings to a 3-2 victory Thursday in Philadelphia, snapping the Flyers’ eight-game winning streak.
Adrian Kempe and Austin Wagner scored in regulation for the Kings, who won their third straight.
The Kings appeared to have it won in regulation, but the Flyers’ Jakub Voracek scored with 18.2 seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime.
Jonathan Quick made 30 saves for the Kings. Flyers backup Anthony Stolarz got the nod and made 37 saves.
Jonathan Toews scored 3:21 into OT to lift the Blackhawks over the visiting Canucks 4-3. It was a season-high sixth straight win for the Blackhawks. In the victory, Alex DeBrincat scored twice and Patrick Kane had an assist to extend his point streak to 13 games. ... Brayden Schenn scored with 58.2 seconds left in OT and rookie Jordan Binnington made 32 saves for his second career shutout to help the Blues beat the host Lightning 1-0. It was the fourth straight win for the Blues. ... Evgeny Kuznetsov scored the game-winner, backup Pheonix Copley made 34 saves and the host Capitals won 4-3 in OT, dealing the Avalanche their fifth loss in a row. AP
