Black creatives gather for an educational and interactive experience at the fourth annual Black Artist Fair at Coppin State Univ., 2500 W. North Ave., J. Millard Tawes Center. What to do with leftover jack-o’-lanterns and pumpkins? The Maryland Science Center has an idea: turn them into gourd fodder at the Pumpkin Smash at Maryland Science Center, 601 Light St. Watch your fruit decoration exit the launch tube and fall from the MSC roof to the patio. Pumpkins must be rollable shape under 15 inches wide. Leave your pumpkin to be collected at the Harbor Patio at 10 a.m. Pickup ends at 11:50 a.m. To enter the MSC, you must purchase a ticket. Fans of Autobots and Decepticons truck on down to the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor, 401 West Pratt St., for TFCon Baltimore (Transformers Convention) this weekend. The franchise started out as a toy line in 1984 and has expanded into comic books, a cartoon and television series, and a movie franchise.
