Mariners: Felix Hernandez became the franchise's career strikeout leader when he fanned the Angels' Rafael Ortega in the first inning. That was Hernandez's 2,163rd strikeout, which passed Hall of Famer Randy Johnson for the Mariners record.

Blue Jays: Troy Tulowitzki homered twice and Josh Donaldson hit a three-run shot in a 9-3 victory that ended the A's six-game winning streak. It was Tulowitzki's first multihit game of the season and the 12th multihomer game of his career. Ezequiel Carrera had the first four-hit game of his career.

Indians: Corey Kluber struck out 10 in eight innings and Yan Gomes homered and drove in five runs in a 10-1 rout of the Tigers. Kluber (1-3) gave up two hits and no walks. This was his fifth game with at least 10 strikeouts and zero walks since the start of the 2014 season. Only Clayton Kershaw (8) and Max Scherzer (6) have more.

Mets: Jacob deGrom returned to the team and said all is well after a scare with his infant son, Jaxon. DeGrom will start Sunday against the Braves after missing one turn because of a sore right lat muscle and another due to his son's health. DeGrom said his son had a form of apnea that caused him to stop breathing after falling asleep. “At first it was a scary time, (but) he's doing great now,” de Grom said. ... OF Yoenis Cespedes sat out with a bruise on his right leg and could miss a few days. He aggravated the injury on a slide Friday.
