2 killed, 2 injured

in Sunday shootings

Two men were killed and two others were injured in shootings on Sunday, Baltimore police said. Officers responded to a shooting in the 2500 block of Hoffman St. at about 12:45 a.m. and found an unidentified man suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he died, police said. Police responded to another shooting at around 1 a.m. at the intersection of Wheeler and Lafayette avenues. A 24-year-old man was shot in the hip and taken to an area hospital, where he was in stable condition, police said. Another man was shot around 1 p.m. in the 1000 block of Vine St. in West Baltimore. Police found shell casings and blood, and later found the victim at a hospital. The 24-year-old victim was shot in the right calf. Around 5:45 p.m., police went to the 5600 block of the Alameda where the driver of a car was being treated for a gunshot wound. Police said he had been shot in the 1200 block of Cochran Ave. and had driven to the area. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital. Motorcyclist dead in crash in Baltimore Co.

A motorcyclist died in a crash on the Interstate 95 northbound ramp to the inner loop of the beltway in Baltimore County Sunday morning, State Police said. Benjamin Lovell Brabham, 30, of Catonsville was driving a 2007 Honda Sport Bike north on the ramp when he lost control of the bike and fell off about 7:30 a.m., police said. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. Brabham was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police said. No witnesses have come forward, and police have not been able to identify the cause. No phone number was listed for Brabham’s address. Caroline County man dies in small plane crash

A man died in an ultralight plane crash in Caroline County on Sunday morning, Maryland State Police said. The pilot, the sole occupant of the plane, was identified as Michael Malick, 71, of Federalsburg. The incident happened around 9 a.m. at a privately owned landing strip in the 3000 block of Seippes Road in Federalsburg. Police said that Malick lost control of the plane shortly after takeoff and hit a power line, then spiraled to the ground. A parachute deployed from the plane, a Dream Machine 582. Police said Malick is the owner of the grass airfield where the crash happened. He was taken to Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford, where he died. Federal Aviation Administration officials will investigate the cause of the crash.

Woman, 32, charged in fatal stabbing of boyfriend

A woman has been arrested in the stabbing death of her boyfriend in Baltimore on Friday, police said. Adriana Locklear, 32, of the 6600 block of Maple Ave., is charged with first-degree murder in the killing of her 53-year-old boyfriend in the 1700 block of North Gay St. in Broadway East, police said. The victim’s name has not been released. Police had initially said the victim was 56 years old and had been stabbed in the 1600 block of North Gay St. The killing happened about 5 p.m. Locklear was arrested Saturday and taken to Central Booking where she was waiting to see a court commissioner on Sunday. A lawyer was not listed in online court records. A phone number listed for Locklear’s address was not in service.
