The Panthers are waiting to see if captain Aleksander Barkov will be able to play Saturday when their playoff series resumes against the Lightning.

Barkov missed the final 10:09 of the Panthers’ win in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference first-round series at Tampa Bay on Thursday night after taking a hit from the Lightning’s Brandon Hagel.

Panthers coach Paul Maurice said he has “two or three” different lineups in mind for Game 3, which is on the Panthers’ ice in Sunrise. The Panthers lead the series 2-0.

The Senators and forward Nick Cousins have each been fined for his actions during warmups prior to Game 3 of a first-round playoff series against the Maple Leafs. The NHL on Friday docked the team $25,000 and Cousins just over $2,083, the maximum allowed under the collective bargaining agreement, for what it called unsportsmanlike conduct. Cousins shot a puck at Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz during pregame warmups on Thursday night.
