The Golden State Warriors' motto this postseason has been “Strength in Numbers,” and with a dominant 104-89 victory Thursday night in Game 1 of the NBA Finals over the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers, they proved it to be true.

Splash Brothers Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combined for only 20 points on 8-for-27 shooting, but Golden State's bench, led by a playoff career-high 20 points from Shaun Livingston, outscored Cleveland's 45-10.

The game wasn't without its theatrics, though, especially in the third quarter as the Cavaliers came back from a 14-point deficit to claim a one-point lead. The Warriors answered with a 29-8 run with the reserves leading the way.

LeBron James had 23 points and 12 rebounds, Kevin Love had 17 points and 13 rebounds, and Kyrie Irving led Cleveland with 26 points, but Irving shot just 7-for-22 as the Cavaliers were held to 38.1 percent from the field.

Game 2 is Sunday night, also at Oracle Arena.
