A convicted felon with a nearly 20-year criminal history in the drug trade is back on the run, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
Edward Robinson, 37, is wanted by federal and local police. According to the marshals service, Robinson is wanted for a federal supervised release violation, and for failure to comply in Anne Arundel County.
Court records show Robinson was arrested in June by local authorities in Anne Arundel County and charged with felony possession with intent to distribute, as well as two misdemeanor charges.
At the time Robinson was on federal post-supervision and this arrest was a violation of his probation. Still, Robinson was granted pretrial release, according to online court documents. Records show he failed to comply with the terms of his release and subsequently, a warrant was issued for his arrest the following month.
In August 2024 federal authorities also issued a warrant for his arrest.
“Mr. Robinson currently has a federal warrant for his arrest and he also has a warrant out of Anne Arundel County,” confirmed Deputy Marshal Mat Silverman. ”He’s wanted for violation of supervised release.”
Deputy Marshal Mat Silverman takes us back to 2011, when the U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland announced the takedown of a drug trafficking operation in Baltimore.
“Mr. Robinson was listed as one of 15 individuals indicted following a year-long investigation,” said Silverman.
At the time of the announcement authorities had detailed Robinson was still on the run. Silverman says he was later arrested and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin.
Robinson was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison, followed by five years supervised release, according to federal sentencing documents. The federal case marks Robinson’s most severe conviction out of nearly 20 years of various documented arrests for drug-related offenses.
Online court records show Robinson’s criminal history began in 2005 when he was 18. Any juvenile records are not viewable to the public.
Robinson is now back on the run, and authorities fear potentially back in the game.
“It’s possible Mr. Robinson is continuing in the drug trade,” said Silverman. “Unfortunately cocaine is extremely prevalent in the City.
The bigger issue we’re coming into right now is fentanyl. We don’t know what this cocaine or any other drug is being mixed with in Baltimore or around Baltimore City.”
According to the marshals service, Robinson has two aliases including ‘Little man’ and ‘Mad Lou’ and is known to frequent West Lexington Street in West Baltimore and Kramme Avenue in South Baltimore.
Robinson stands at approximately 5 feet, 5 inches and weighs about 140 pounds.
Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts is asked to contact the marshals service at 202-819-5058.
