A 23-year-old man stabbed Monday night at an apartment in Annapolis is now in stable condition, according to the city’s police department.

At about 3 a.m., officers were called to the area of Winslow Court near Annapolis Middle School, where they found the man with several cuts to the face, according to a news release.

Annapolis Police Lt. Kevin Krauss said the man was at a gathering in an apartment on the 200 block of Boxwood Court, more than half a mile away from Winslow Court when the attack occurred. He managed to escape the apartment and travel to the court, where he called emergency personnel.

Krauss said detectives had assumed control of the investigation but did not identify any suspects in the stabbing.
