The left-hander earned All-Metro first-team honors last season after going 7-1 with a 2.75 ERA and 55 strikeouts, leading the Cavaliers to their second straight Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference title. He's a preseason all-state selection.

Andrew Cassard

Arundel, senior, center fielder

The Towson commit batted .360 and had six doubles and 27 runs scored a year ago, giving the Wildcats a spark at the top of their lineup. He has been named all-county the past two years.

Casey Crawford

Howard, senior, infielder-pitcher

Crawford batted .372 last season, with 10 doubles and 18 RBIs, and also went 5-2 on the mound with a 2.70 ERA. He was named first-team all-county in 2015.

Spencer Dietrich

Severna Park, senior, pitcher

The ace of the Class 4A state finalist Falcons returns after going 6-2 with a 2.15 ERA a season ago. He struck out 37 batters in 55 innings.

John Fitzgerald

Gilman, senior, third baseman

Fitzgerald batted .455 last season for the Greyhounds, with two homers, 11 doubles, four triples and 39 RBIs. He's also a standout receiver who will continue his football career at Cornell.

Billy Godrick

Archbishop Spalding, senior,

center fielder

The speedy outfielder is an offensive catalyst for the defending A Conference champion, last season batting .413, with a team-best 31 runs scored. The Fordham commit also made several run-saving plays with his glove.

Brad Haas

South Carroll, senior, second baseman

The two-time Carroll County batting champion returns for his senior season. A year ago, he batted .464 with 21 RBIs and 19 runs scored, helping lead the Cavaliers to a region championship.

Jack Schroeder

Mount Hebron, junior, pitcher-outfielder

The Virginia Commonwealth commit batted .391 last year, with 14 RBIs, and was 3-0 on the mound while striking out 55 batters in less than 38 innings.

Carter Sears

Archbishop Spalding, catcher, senior

The All-Metro second-team selection returns for his senior year after batting .367 with 27 RBIs. What really separates him, however, are his defensive prowess and ability to handle pitchers.

Elliot Zoellner

St. Mary's, senior, pitcher

The Maryland signee returns after missing most of last season with a flexor strain in his forearm. The right-hander, who went 7-0 with a 2.91 ERA as a sophomore, can reach 93 mph on the radar gun.
