PICTURING MARYLAND
Seeking a spot

Ernest Shaw, left, of Baltimore talks about his artwork with other artists, Norneen Smith, Sheila Crider and Jordan Lawson at the Black History Month pop-up art exhibit going on at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland until Feb. 24th. This exhibit joins The Cordish Art Collection, placing the works of nine local Black artists among pieces from world-renowned artists. On Monday, one winner will be chosen to receive a permanent spot in the collection and a cash prize of $25,000. The winner will be selected by collection curator Suzi Cordish and a public vote.
