Nick Chubb ran for 121 yards and two touchdowns and visiting Georgia bounced back from a loss to Tennessee on a Hail Mary pass to beat South Carolina, 28-14, on Sunday in a game pushed back a day because of Hurricane Matthew.

The Bulldogs (4-2, 2-2 Southeastern Conference) turned things around by running repeatedly and effectively. Along with Chubb, Sony Michel had 133 yards on 21 carries as Georgia finished with 326 yards on the ground for its highest total this season.

“It felt good to know who we are,” Michel said. “Georgia football, we're going to run the football.”

The Sunday showcase came about because of Matthew, a destructive storm that struck the state Saturday. The SEC and both teams agreed to the new date, although the crowd appeared sparser than the announced 77,221.

Chubb, who had just one carry the previous two games with a left-ankle sprain, was impressive from the start. He ran 18 yards on his first carry and ended the drive with a 15-yard touchdown run.

Chubb added a 1-yard touchdown as the Bulldogs moved in front 14-0. The Gamecocks (2-4, 1-4), who lost their third straight game, could not keep up.

It was the first time since a win over Auburn in 2014 that Georgia had a pair of 100-yard rushers. Chubb was part of that, too, gaining 144 yards while Todd Gurley, now with the Los Angeles Rams, ran for 138.

The Gamecocks cut it to 21-14 on Rico Dowdle's 1-yard touchdown run with 1:40 left. But Terry Goodwin picked up South Carolina's onside kick attempt and took it 43 yards for a clinching score.

Saturday night's games: DeMarcus Walker blocked Miami (Fla.) kicker Michael Badgley's point-after attempt with 1:38 remaining, and visiting No. 23 Florida State (4-2, 1-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) escaped with a 20-19 victory over the No. 10 Hurricanes (4-1, 1-1).

Miami was in position to tie the score after Brad Kaaya connected with Stacy Coley on an 11-yard touchdown pass. Badgley had made 72 consecutive extra points, but Walker knocked away what would have been the tying point.

Luke Falk threw for 357 yards and four touchdowns to lead visiting Washington State to a 42-16 victory over No. 15 Stanford.

Falk connected with Tavares Martin Jr. twice in the first half and added second-half touchdown passes to Gabe Marks and River Cracraft to help the Cougars (3-2, 1-1) end an eight-game losing streak to the Cardinal (3-2, 2-2).

Jake Browning threw for 304 yards and a school-record six touchdowns and ran for an additional two scores as No. 5 Washington (6-0, 3-0 Pac-12) ended a 12-game losing streak against host Oregon (2-4, 0-3 Pac-12) with a 70-21 victory.

Quarterback Troy Williams ran for two touchdowns and threw for a score, helping host No. 24 Utah rally for a 36-23 win over Arizona (2-4, 0-3 Pac-12).

Utah (5-1, 2-1) scored 26 straight points after falling behind 14-3 and moved into a tie atop the Pac-12 South with Colorado.
