Keita Bates-Diop added 19 points and Kam Williams 11 for the Buckeyes, who ended the game on a 12-2 run. After Bates-Diop preserved a two-point lead for Ohio State (19-11, 11-6 Big Ten) by blocking Mike Gesell's layup, Loving made the free throws to ice it.

Gesell and Jarrod Uthoff led the Hawkeyes (20-8, 11-5) with 16 points apiece.

Seton Hall 90, Xavier 81: Desi Rodriguez had career highs of 27 points and 12 rebounds, and the Pirates all but guaranteed their first NCAA tournament berth in a decade with a victory over the No. 5 Musketeers.

Isaiah Whitehead added 22 points for Seton Hall (21-7, 11-5 Big East), which knocked off Xavier (25-4, 13-4) just four days after upsetting No. 1 Villanova.

The Pirates had a season-high point total and shot 50 percent from the field.

James Farr and Trevon Bluiett had 17 points apiece for the Musketeers.

Pittsburgh 76, Duke 62:Jamel Artis scored 17 points, and the Panthers gave their NCAA tournament hopes a jolt as they dominated the No. 15 Blue Devils.

James Robinson added 14 points and seven assists in his final home game for Pittsburgh (20-8, 9-7 ACC).

Grayson Allen had 17 points for Duke (22-8, 10-6), which shot 37 percent and was outscored 24-6 in the paint.

Michigan State 88, Penn State 57:Denzel Valentine finished with 19 points, eight rebounds and six assists to help the No. 6 Spartans rout the Nittany Lions.

Deyonta Davis and Bryn Forbes added 15 points apiece for Michigan State (24-5, 11-5 Big Ten), while Matt Costello had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Shep Garner scored 22 points to lead Penn State (15-14, 6-10).

SMU 74, Tulane 53:Ben Moore scored 16 points and Sterling Brown added 15 as the No. 24 Mustangs (24-4, 12-4 American Athletic Conference) beat the Green Wave (10-19, 3-13).
