¦ Indians: Edwin Encarnacion homered twice and Jose Ramirez had his sixth straight multihit game as the Indians completed a four-game sweep of the Twins with a 5-2 victory in Minneapolis.

¦ Diamondbacks: Rey Fuentes hit his first major-league homer in the 10th inning, lifting the Diamondbacks to a 5-4 victory over the Phillies in Philadelphia.

The Diamondbacks won their seventh straight to improve to 44-26, the best 70-game start in team history. The Phillies have lost 11 of 12.

¦ Royals: Jason Vargas earned his 10th win, most in the majors, and Salvador Perez hit a threerun homer as the Royals beat the Angels 7-3 in Anaheim, Calif.

Vargas (10-3) gave up three runs on eight hits in six innings.Facing a bases-loaded jam with nobody out in the sixth, the left-hander was able to limit the damage to one run before departing.

¦ Brewers: JimmyNelson struck out 10 in his first career complete game and the Brewers got home runs from Hernan Perez and Manny Pina to edge the Padres 2-1 in Milwaukee. Nelson (5-3) allowed six hits and two walks while throwing 118 pitches in his 89th major-league start. He lowered his ERA to 3.39.

¦ Yankees: Closer Aroldis Chapman rejoined the team after more than a month on the disabled list. The left-hander had been sidelined since May 13 with inflammation in the rotator cuff of his pitching shoulder.

¦ Mariners: Felix Hernandez will return from the disabled list and start Friday against the Astros, manager Scott Servais said. The right-hander has missed almost two months because of inflammation in his pitching shoulder.
