Keenan Reynolds impressed the scouts with his performance during the weight room portion of Navy Pro Day. But the All-America quarterback did not last long after the proceedings moved outside to Rip Miller Field.

Scouts from 18 NFL franchises showed up in Annapolis for the event, which gave eight Navy football players an opportunity to showcase their skills.

Reynolds was the most high-profile Mid to participate. Most NFL teams are looking at him as a running back or slot receiver. He showed tremendous explosiveness with a superb vertical leap of 371/2 inches. The 5-foot-11, 205-pound player also had a 10-foot broad jump. He also displayed surprising strength for a prospect his size by bench-pressing 225?pounds 15 times.

After testing in the weight room, activities shifted outside, with scouts setting up a sprinting track. Each player was timed in the 40-yard dash.

Reynolds ran the 40 in 4.56 seconds, but he tweaked a hamstring in the home stretch and was seen grimacing afterward.

When it came time for Reynolds to run the 40 a second time, he declined to do so. On the advice of Navy trainer Jim Berry and agent Che Mock, Reynolds also did not undergo testing in the pro shuttle drill or the three-cone drill.

He also chose not to participate in positional drills.
