Jones helps lift Loyola men over Mount St. Mary's
Jarred Jones (John Carroll) scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead host Loyola Maryland to a 64-57 win over Mount St. Mary's on Saturday.
Jones was 6-for-11 from the field and made all three of his free throws for the Greyhounds (4-4), who were 23-for-27 from the foul line.
Andre Walker made five free throws in the final 34 seconds to seal the win.
Elijah Long (John Carroll) scored 16 points with three assists and five rebounds for the Mountaineers (1-8), who scored just 13 points in the final 11-plus minutes and have lost five straight games.
Stith blocked Deshaun Morman's jumper with eight seconds left with Old Dominion leading by two. He rebounded the block and made both free throws after getting fouled with five seconds left.
Tiwian Kendley had 26 points and Phillip Carr 15 for the Bears, who led by seven points three times early in the first half but fell behind during a 13-0 run that gave Rutgers a 25-19 advantage.
Ryan Pearson led Navy with 13 points.
