Now that the season's embrace — with its sunshine, outdoor film festivals, concerts and art exhibits — is upon us we don't want to let go. And for now, we don't have to. Here are 35 events to help welcome summer back with a bang.

St. Anthony's Italian Festival Little Italy comes alive during this two-day festival with live entertainment, vendors traditional Italian fare, including fried dough and calzones. Wash it all down with Italian wine or beer, and try your luck in the bocce tournament or the cannoli filling contest. ‘Love Letters' at the Hippodrome “Love Story” co-stars Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal reunited for playwright A.R. Honfest In its 23rd year, this festival proves there's no place like Bawlmer. Baltimore Wine Fest The festival, returning for a second year, will feature over 140 wines from all over the world, which will pair well with the live music, crafts, cooking demos and gourmet morsels prepared by more than 30 local restaurants. Little Italy Open Air Film Festival When it comes to outdoor movies this summer, you've got choices. African American Festival This free two-day celebration of African-American culture will feature art, beauty and health vendors —and starpower, including actress and co-host Vivica A.
