A fifth defendant pleaded guilty Monday for involvement in the 2023 Brooklyn Day mass shooting, which killed two and injured 28.

The last of the Brooklyn Day defendants, Tristan Jackson, 19, pleaded guilty to charges of second-degree assault, conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, firearm use in a crime of violence and possession of a firearm as a minor, for the July 2, 2023, shooting in Brooklyn, according to the Baltimore State’s Attorney’s Office .

The violence that broke out in the south Baltimore neighborhood killed 18-year-old Aaliyah Gonzalez and 20-year-old Kylis Fagbemi.

“None of the defendants or potential defendants are excluded from future prosecutions if new information should come to light that would incriminate them in the deaths of the victims,” a spokeswoman for the State’s Attorney’s Office said.

Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Lynn Stewart Mays will sentence Jackson on April 29, the website said.

Jackson’s legal team declined to comment.

Three teen defendants pleaded guilty in May, with two sentenced to 25 years, suspending all but five years, and one sentenced to five years, suspending all but one year. Jackson’s co-defendant Aaron Brown pleaded guilty and was sentenced to serve 60 years suspending all but 12 years.
