Blue Jays: Josh Donaldson hit a three-run homer, R.A. Dickey won back-to-back starts for the first time in a month and the Jays whipped the Tigers 6-1. Donaldson is the sixth player in AL history to hit at least 20 home runs and score 80 or more runs before the All-Star break. The others were Lou Gehrig (1936), Ted Williams (1946), Reggie Jackson (1969), Frank Thomas (1994) and Alex Rodriguez (2000). … Edwin Encarnacion dropped his appeal of a one-game suspension for making contact with umpire Vic Carapazza and sat out the game.

Twins: Max Kepler hit the Twins' first grand slam this season, one of their four homers in a 15-5 rout of the AL-leading Rangers. The Twins took three of four. Kennys Vargas, Eduardo Escobar and Brian Dozier also homered.

Dodgers: Kenta Maeda struck out a career-high 13 and Adrian Gonzalez homered in a 3-1 victory over the Padres. Maeda (8-6) allowed one run on two hits in seven innings. Gonzalez is batting .455 over his last 12 games. … Clayton Kershaw (back) threw 25 pitches off a mound, but manager Dave Roberts said he would not be in the rotation when the team returns from the All-Star break.

Red Sox: David Price struck out 10 in eight four-hit innings, sending the Rays to their sixth straight loss 4-0. David Ortiz hit a two-run homer and enters the break with a .332 average and 72 RBIs.

Orioles: Chris Tillman (12-2) pitched seven innings of three-hit ball in a 4-2 victory over the Angels as the AL East leaders improved to 33-14 at home. Chris Davis and J.J. Hardy homered, and Adam Jones and Pedro Alvarez had three hits each. Tim Lincecum (1-3) gave up three runs on nine hits in 52/3 innings.

Marlins: Giancarlo Stanton's 20th home run keyed a 7-3 win as the Marlins swept the Reds for the first time since 2003. Adeiny Hechavarria scored from second base on a passed ball, a franchise first. The Marlins (47-41) have their best record at the All-Star break since 1997.

Extra innings: The Padres agreed to terms with 17-year-old Cuban LHP Adrian Morejon on a deal that includes an $11 million signing bonus. Morejon led Cuba's 15-and-under league with 113 strikeouts in 68 innings in 2014. ... White Sox LHP Jose Quintana replaced Indians RHP Danny Salazar (elbow) on the AL All-Star team. ... Jacoby Ellsbury's three-run homer helped the Yankees beat the Indians 11-7, taking three of four from the AL Central leaders. ...
