Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, joined a nationwide protest call and demanded Elon Musk be “taken down.”

Crockett, who sits on the House Department of Government Efficiency subcommittee, made her comments to the Tesla Takedown movement. The group describes itself as a “peaceful protest movement” and encourage investors to dump stock in Musk’s electric vehicle producer. During the call on Thursday, Crockett said her one birthday wish is to see Musk’s company crumble.

“On March 29 it’s my birthday,” she said. “All I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down.”

She added, however, these comments are not intended to incite real violence.

“The things that we’re fighting for — we are fighting for our country, we are fighting for democracy, we’re fighting for our freedom — and when I say fighting, I am saying that figuratively,” Crockett said. “Obviously everything that I am promoting is nonviolent and so definitely don’t want anyone to take that word literal in any way.”

Vice President JD Vance took to X Friday to warn that the Trump administration would not be intimidated by those using Tesla to target Musk.

“The people attacking Teslas are trying to send the message that if you support President Trump, they will commit acts of violence to try to intimidate you,” he wrote. “Our message to them? Terrorists in this country will be brought to justice.”

Musk reshared the post, adding two American flag emojis.

Crockett’s call comes as activists are continuing to attack Tesla vehicles and showrooms. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Thursday some of the suspects in these incidents have been charged as domestic terrorists.

“The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended,” Bondi said. “Let this be a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars.”
