“Cold Pursuit”

Drama/thriller, R. Liam Neeson plays a snowplow driver out for vengeance after his son is killed by drug dealers. Laura Dern, Emmy Rossum also star.

“The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part”

Animated/family, PG. The tiny pieces are back on the big screen. This time around, Emmett must save Lucy and other Lego friends who have been kidnapped by aliens. With the voices of Alison Brie, Jason Momoa, Elizabeth Banks and Nick Offerman.

“The Prodigy”

Horror, R. Taylor Schilling (“Orange Is the New Black”) plays an increasingly disturbed mother whose gifted son turns violent, possibly due to a supernatural influence. Can’t anyone help her son?

“What Men Want”

Comedy/fantasy, not rated yet. A remake of the Mel Gibson/Helen Hunt movie, with the roles flopped: Taraji P. Henson stars as a sports agent who gains an advantage over her male colleagues when she starts to be able to read their minds. Adam Shankman (“Rock of Ages,” “The Pacifier”) directs.

“Happy Death Day 2U”

Horror/thriller, PG-13. Just when she thought she was out of danger! A young woman (Jessica Rothe) enters the “Groundhog Day”-like infinite time loop to help her friends.

“Isn’t It Romantic”

Comedy/romance, PG-13. Rebel Wilson stars as a woman who hits her head during an attempted mugging and wakes up to find herself in a rom-com. No, really. Liam Hemsworth (“The Hunger Games”), Priyanka Chopra also star.

Feb. 22

“How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World”

Animated/family, PG. Hiccup learns there is more than one Night Fury and goes in search of a hidden world to stop Grimmel the tyrant. With the voices of Jay Baruchel, Cate Blanchett and Kit Harington.

“The Turning”

Horror, not yet rated. In the latest adaptation of Henry James’ “The Turn of the Screw,” Mackenzie Davis (“Halt and Catch Fire”) cares for two children who have lost their parents and may be living in a haunted house. Finn Wolfhard (“Stranger Things”) and Brooklynn Prince (“The Florida Project”) star.

“Greta”

R, thriller. A widow (Isabelle Huppert) who befriends a young woman (Chloe Grace Moretz) harbors a dark secret and terrifying intentions. Neil Jordan (“The Crying Game”) directs.

“A Madea Family Funeral”

PG-13, comedy. A family reunion in Georgia takes a turn when Madea’s (Tyler Perry, who also wrote/directed) family must plan for a death in the family. With Courtney Burrell, Cassie Davis and Ciera Payton.

March 8

“Captain Marvel”

Action/adventure, PG. Oscar winner Brie Larson dons the superhero suit as the character aims to save Earth from aliens. Gemma Chan (“Crazy Rich Asians”), Samuel L. Jackson and Lee Pace also star.
