Red Sox: Struggling RHP Clay Buchholz is being moved to the bullpen, and LHP Eduardo Rodriguez will take his spot in the rotation starting Tuesday at Baltimore. Buchholz is 2-5 with a 6.35 ERA in 10 starts and has allowed five earned runs or more six times. Rodriguez is on the DL with a sore right knee and has not pitched in the majors this season. He's 0-3 with a 3.54 ERA in five Triple-A rehab starts.

Rangers: RHP Yu Darvish, coming off Tommy John surgery, will start Saturday for the first time since 2014. Pitching coach Doug Brocail said Darvish probably would be limited to 90 pitches after throwing 87 Sunday in his fifth rehab start. Darvish's innings will be monitored all season, and his turn in the rotation might be skipped a few times. ... IF Jurickson Profar was brought up and was in the lineup against the Pirates as 2B Rougned Odor began serving his seven-game suspension.

Braves: 1B Freddie Freeman, hitting .186 in his last 14 games and 1-for-26 with runners in scoring position, is making no excuses. “Right now I suck,” Freeman said. “There's no getting around it. I've had a pretty horrible season so far. There's no sugarcoating it, I'm just not getting hits.” ... Utility IF Reid Brignac was designated for assignment, and 3B Adonis Garcia was recalled from Triple A.

Mets: Manager Terry Collins isn't thinking about shifting OF Michael Conforto to 1B despite Lucas Duda's back injury. “As I've tried to gingerly say it, this isn't high school where you put the fat kid over at first,” Collins said. ... RHP Matt Harvey threw to batters between starts, trying to correct flaws in his delivery that have turned him into one of the worst starters in the majors. Harvey is 3-7 with a 6.08 ERA.
