The Orioles’ minor league coaching staffs announced Friday feature a mix of familiar faces in new roles and fresh blood from the college and amateur ranks, as the organization looks to overhaul its player development system under a new front office.

Among the managers in new roles are Gary Kendall, promoted from Double-A Bowie to Triple-A Norfolk, Buck Britton from Low-A Delmarva to Bowie, and Kyle Moore from Short-A Aberdeen to Delmarva. Former major league bullpen coach Alan Mills will managed the Gulf Coast League team.

Ryan Minor, Kevin Bradshaw, and Elvis Morel reprise their roles with High-A Frederick, Aberdeen, and the Dominican Summer League entrant, though Bradshaw didn’t manage Aberdeen as assigned last year due to injury.

Among the new faces are Josh Conway and Adam Bleday, who are development coaches at Bowie and Frederick, respectively. Conway was the assistant pitching coach last year at Coastal Carolina, while Bleday played in the Houston Astros system last year.

Several other amateur coaches joined the Orioles ranks this year, including Delmarva pitching coach Justin Ramsey (Nova Southeastern), Delmarva hitting coach Matt Trate (Goldey-Beacom College), Aberdeen pitching coach Robbie Aviles (Rockland Peak Performance), and Aberdeen hitting coach Tom Eller (Harford Community College).

Kent Qualls will be the director of minor league operations for the seventh season, with Maria Arellano serving as the manager of minor league and international administration. Chris Holt, who came with executive vice president Mike Elias from the Astros, is the only new coordinator as he takes over the pitching side, with Jeff Manto returning as hitting coordinator, Dave Anderson returning as fielding coordinator, and Don Werner back as catching coordinator.

Scott McGregor returns as the Sarasota-based pitching rehabilitation coordinator, Felipe Rojas Alou Jr. will be director of the Dominican Academy, Len Johnston returns as administrator of Sarasota operations, Dave Walker is the minor league medical coordinator again, and Kyle Corrick is the new rehab coordinator with Jake Parker back as minor league equipment manager.
