Gabby Lavin scored six goals and Tiffany Lee added four goals and two assists, as host Arundel beat Chesapeake-AA, 17-7, on Wednesday.

Kathleen Bevan netted three goals and two assists, Kayla Ross chipped in with two goals, Shannon Godwin contributed a goal and three assists, Katie Keane had a goal, Caroline Keane handed out an assist and won 18 of 26 draws, Izzy Seven recorded an assist and Emma Privitera made six saves for Arundel (7-4).

Jordan Snyder managed two goals and an assist, Peyton Colhouer registered two goals, Riley Harrell and Carson Giordano pitched in with a goal and an assist apiece, Georgia Spangler notched a goal, Kiersten Blanchard was credited with an assist and Eryn Beal made 13 saves for Chesapeake (8-3).

No. 3 Glenelg Country 17, Garrison Forest 4: A trio of three goal-scorers: Shaylan Ahearn, Lindsey Marshall and Celia Pell; led the host Dragons (10-3, 8-2 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference) past the Grizzlies (1-13, 0-9). Glenelg Country has won two of its last three games.

No. 14 Roland Park 12, No. 8 St. Paul’s 11: Shannon Smith had five goals and Kiki Shaw had four goals to lead the visiting Reds (9-8, 5-6 IAAM A Conference) in an upset over the Gators (7-5, 7-5). St. Paul’s, led by Alex Pirisino with five goals, tied the game at 11-11 before Roland Park scored the go-ahead goal.

The Reds have won three in a row and those losing teams have all scored 11 goals. Roland Park won 19-11 over Severn on April 18 and won 13-11 over then No. 8 St. Mary’s on Friday.

No. 12 Hereford 15, No. 13 John Carroll 9: Keily Nause scored a game-high seven goals to lead the host Bulls (10-0) past the Patriots (9-7). Hereford scored three goals in the first 11/2 of play and never trailed.

Mount Hebron 20, River Hill 9: Erin Demek had four goals and the host Vikings (9-3) beat the Hawks (5-5). Mount Hebron bounced back from Monday’s 14-9 loss to No. 3 Glenelg Country.

Hammond 14, Meade 11: Erin Heritage recorded nine goals and grabbed eight ground balls and Nyasha Counts tallied two goals, but the Mustangs, minus two key defenders in the second half, fell to the Golden Bears after leading 10-7 with under 10 minutes remaining. Emily Wise handed out an assist and Emmy Porter made 13 saves for Meade (4-6).

Boys lacrosse

Friends 11, Saints Peter & Paul 8: Jack Bauer scored four goals to lead the host Quakers (11-1, 6-0 MIAA B Conference) past the Sabres (7-3, 5-3). Friends extended its winning streak to 10 games.

Marriotts Ridge 14, Atholton 5: Ellis Gloyd and Peter Geier scored three goals each to lead the host Mustangs (10-3) past the Raiders (6-5).

Southern 9, Northeast 8: Logan Clingerman had four goals and three assists to pace the host Bulldogs (8-4) past the Eagles (3-9).

Arundel 15, Chesapeake-AA 10: The visiting Wildcats (7-5) used a 3-0 run in the third quarter to pull away form the Cougars (7-4).

North County 16, Long Reach 1: Chris Martel had three goals and three assists and Tommy Ferger and Mason Bennett each tallied two goals to lead 12 Knights that scored in their victory over the Lightning. Andrew Stillman added a goal and two assistsfor North County (5-6).

Baseball

No. 1 John Carroll 5, No. 4 Calvert Hall 3: Ryan Archibald (2-for-4) hit two doubles and had an RBI and the host Patriots (17-1, 11-1 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association a Conference) beat the Cardinals (14-6, 8-4).

Hunter Tipton worked one inning of relief, gave up one hit and struck out one for the win. John Carroll scored single runs in the first and second innings. Calvert Hall came within a run twice, 2-1 in the fourth inning and 3-2 in the sixth inning, but John Carroll scored two runs in the sixth inning to pull away.
