Stephen Curry will miss at least the next two games for the Warriors nursing an injured ankle that he hurt in a loss to the Clippers on Sunday night.

Curry had an MRI exam after the game and it showed no structural damage and revealed a left peroneal strain. The team said he would be reevaluated Friday. He will miss at least two games.

The 36-year-old two-time MVP and NBA all-time 3-point leader is beginning his 16th season and has dealt with regular ankle issues on both feet.

Paolo Banchero tied the Magic record for points in a half on Monday night, scoring 37 in the first two quarters against the Pacers. He finished with 50 points, tying the fifth-highest scoring night in Magic history. Banchero, rookie of the year two seasons ago and an All-Star last year, was 16 of 26 from the field and finished with 13 boards and nine assists in the 119-115 victory.

College football: Indiana coach Curt Cignetti said Monday he remains “optimistic” starting QB Kurtis Rourke will return to the lineup for the 13th-ranked Hoosiers’ road game against Michigan State. Rourke had surgery on his injured right thumb and missed last weekend’s 31-17 win against Washington.

NFL: The groin injury that QB Jordan Love sustained during the Packers’ 30-27 road win against the Jaguars on Sunday isn’t expected to keep him sidelined long term, ESPN reported. Love’s availability for the team’s upcoming game against the Lions remains unclear. ...
