Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital’s Storybook Gala

“I’m not a big prints person. I like to wear a solid off-the-shoulder sweater with a skinny pant. I’m not a super loud dresser,” said the Phoenix resident, who explained that she generally dressed in neutrals with one accent piece or pop of color per outfit.
However, for the “Alice in Wonderland”-themed Storybook Gala, Ravalico took a side trip down her own kind of rabbit hole, style-wise, going slightly more over-the-top than usual.
The former attorney/now stay-at-home mom of two daughters — Olivia, 6, and Piper, 5 — began with the necklace she wore that night.
“My husband and I had won it at a silent auction at a previous Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital gala. It was unseasonably warm. So I chose the dress because it was springlike and had an open neck and showed the necklace off,” Ravalico said.
Those two pieces would normally have been enough, but — at the urging of husband Mark Ravalico — she added the fanciful wing-themed earrings.
“And he said, ‘Just go for it. It’s a charity event …’ I’ve worn that dress before. I’ve worn that necklace before. I’ve worn those earrings before. But I’d never put them all together,” she said.
After an evening filled with compliments, she said she also got to hear one more thing from her hubby — “I told you so.”
