Raiders WR Amari Cooper vs. Ravens CB Jimmy Smith: CB Shareece Wright has had problems covering the other team's top receiver, so Smith has become the shutdown cornerback. If Smith plays aggressively and can get his hands on Cooper at the line of scrimmage, he can win this matchup. If not, Cooper will make some big plays. He has 15 catches for 270 yards this season. Raiders OGs Kelechi Osemele and Gabe Jackson vs. Ravens NTs Brandon Williams and Michael Pierce: The Raiders have one of the NFL's top offenses and a strong passing game led by quarterback Derek Carr. The Ravens finally have players inside who can collapse the pocket in Williams and Pierce. If they can stop Carr from stepping up to throw, it significantly increases their chances of winning.
Edge: Ravens
Raiders DE Khalil Mack vs. Ravens OTs: Mack got a lot of pressure last year and the Raiders flipped him on both sides during the game. It will be interesting to see what they do with Mack this game, especially because rookie left tackle Ronnie Stanley is dealing with a foot injury and might not play. Regardless of who plays, the Ravens tackles, including Rick Wagner on the right side, will struggle with Mack.
