Full-time home for Annapolis Boat Shows
Headquarters will move into former Fawcett building at 110 Compromise St.
Annapolis Boat Shows, organizer of the U.S. Sailboat and U.S. Powerboat shows, has found a permanent home along Ego Alley — in a high-profile spot that’s been in the spotlight for years.
The group’s year-round headquarters will be inside the former Fawcett Boat Supplies building at 110 Compromise St.“The opportunity to participate in the rejuvenation of the Annapolis waterfront was one we could not pass up,” Annapolis Boat Shows President Paul Jacobs said in a statement.
Moving the boat shows’ headquarters will “further solidify the great working relationship between the city and the marine Industry,” company officials said.
Each autumn the shows draw thousands of visitors to City Dock.
The former Fawcett building has been vacant since the boat supply shop moved in 2010, and in recent years has been the subject of debate about its potential for redevelopment.
