Annapolis Police say they are investigating an assault at Armadillo’s Bar and Grill on March 9.
Two men reported “being physically assaulted with a handgun and knife” in the 100 block of Gorman St., around midnight early last Sunday morning, according to a news release.
One victim, who police did not identify, said he was at Armadillo’s, a bar on Dock Street, with his friends when he attempted to speak with a woman.
A person who police have not identified became jealous and began to assault both victims.
During the altercation, the person, “brandished a firearm and ‘pistol whipped’ Victim 1 on the head,” according to a news release.
During the altercation, the assailant punched a second victim, pulled a knife from his back pocket and cut the victim on the cheek, according to a news release.
Both victims refused medical attention and did not go to the hospital.
Attempts to contact Armadillo’s Bar and Grill were unsuccessful.
Kortlan Jackson, spokesperson for Annapolis Police, said there are multiple suspects in the case, although it is unclear how many individuals were involved.
